Dieses beinahe abstrakte Bild entstand in einer sizilianischen Zeche, wo einst Schwefel verarbeitet wurde. Viele der dafür nötigen Geräte sind noch vorhanden und rosten vor sich hin. Das Rohmaterial wurde mit einer Seilbahn von der Mine angeliefert. Diese Bahn existiert leider nicht mehr.

Unmittelbar nach der Explosion eines Reaktors im Kernkraftwerk Chernobyl im Jahr 1986 wurden auch Schiffe am Fluß Pripjat eingesetzt, um vor Ort Hilfe zu leisten. Die Schiffe wurden stark verstrahlt und waren nach diesem Einsatz nicht weiter verwendet werden. Sie stehen noch immer im Hafen von Chernobyl. Die Strahlung ist seither jedoch auf ein ungefährliches Niveau gesunken.

Der Friedhof vor diesem Kloster ist zwar noch in Betrieb, diese Leichenkutsche wurde dort jedoch bereits vor langer
Zeit im Kreuzgang dauerhaft abgestellt. Faustdicke Risse in den Wänden und Decken lassen nur vermuten, dass das
Kloster selbst einem Erdbeben zum Opfer fiel. Die aus Holz gefertigten Einfassungen der nicht mehr vorhandenen Fenster sind an vielen Stellen bereits morsch und
zusammengebrochen.

Discovered this beauty in a shed in Austria. There was some evidence that the owner planned to sell the vehicle, however, the price probably was a bit too high.

Steam engines which unfortunately are rusting away outside an abandoned steel mill.

This barrel car probably has found its final resting place here.

Discovered this chariot in the basement of the artist's castle in Italy. Especially the cobblestones attracted my attention.

This aircraft is waiting at the end of the runway of a former military airbase. Not sure if this is ever going to happen.

One of the last Ju-52 aircraft in service. The flight engineer is just refuelling the right wing tank before takeoff. This actually is not an Urbex shot as the aircraft still is in service.
